LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 10 (UPI) — Police in Kentucky said a man found with drug paraphernalia claimed he was set up by someone at the highest level of power: Jesus Christ.

Louisville police said officers performing a home check on Craig Dunn, 52, who is on home incarceration for a parole violation, discovered a tube of aluminum foil burnt on one end and a teaspoon with burns and possible drug residue, WLKY-TV, Louisville, Ky., reported Tuesday.

Police said Dunn told them Jesus was attempting to set him up and was the probable owner of the items.

Dunn is facing a drug paraphernalia charge, police said.

BREAKING NEWS: Berthers R Dum

Birthers believe everything they hear on Coast to Coast.

Via Huffington Post:

[…] According to their answers, birthers are less educated, watch more TV, and read fewer books than non-birthers.

Some 43 percent of them have never traveled outside of their home country. They’re 24 percent more likely to speak only a single language. They are 63% less likely to have ever owned a passport.

A third of them didn’t vote in the last presidential election. Forty-four percent of them believe that the Big Bang didn’t really happen and 47 percent don’t believe in global warming. Birthers are also 19 percent more likely to believe in UFOs and alien visits to earth and 50 percent more likely to believe in alien abductions. […]

I refuse to believe it; everyone knows that conspiracy theorists are the real heroes. This is just the mainstream media trying to keep the public from discovering what we enlightened already know. The President of the United States is an illegal Muslim immigrant, whose life goal is the complete destruction of western civilization.

If these people didn’t bring us the ‘facts’ that ‘they’ don’t want us to know, as a society we might continue to believe ridiculous hoaxes like the moon landing, evolution, and cosmology. Thankfully, they came forward, and relegated such ideas to the fringe.

It took the insight, bravery, and wisdom of a college student to expose 9/11 for what it was, a perfectly planned, executed, and covered up attack by the United States government on its people for reasons that aren’t quite clear (or at least agreed on). If only President Bush had used the same people responsible for 9/11 to plan the Iraq war, we would have been out of there in weeks instead of years. While it is true that so-called ‘experts’ and ‘scientists’ have debunked the Loose Change video countless times, but those ‘experts’ are just pawns in the grander conspiracy.

Church Ordains a Sex Offender

In black collar crime, religion, stupid people on September 30, 2009 at 9:04 pm

Worst Idea Since Mixing Guns and Booze

The potential for jokes aside, a sex offender as a minister (a position of authority over children) is an idea so bad, so nonsensical, so misguided, and so blind to reality, that only a theist could have dreamed it up. So, guess who just got ordained!

Via MSNBC

Mark Hourigan is also a sex offender. Almost a decade ago, long before he joined the flock at the City of Refuge Worship Center, he was convicted of sexually abusing an 11-year-old boy in central Kentucky. Hourigan served a five-year sentence and the 41-year-old was placed on Kentucky’s sex offender registry for the rest of his life.

“He’s still a threat” to children, said Cal Pfeiffer, who was abused by a Catholic priest as a young student in Louisville in the late 1950s and early 60s. Pfeiffer and experts on religion and sexual abuse believe it could be the first time a convicted sex offender has been knowingly ordained as a minister in a Christian church.

“It sets a precedent,” said Pfeiffer, a member of a group that has protested Hourigan’s ordination. “It elevates him to an ordained minister which almost automatically conveys a level of trust and responsibility.”

I know these people love to talk about forgiveness, but since when do theists practice what they preach?

Federal Census Worker Hung in Rural Kentucky

“Fed” Was Scrawled on His Chest

Just a few months after Minnesota rep and national embarrassment Michelle Bachmann decried the census as a plot by the government ‘brown shirts’ to invade your home and deport you to internment camps with other “real Americans”. A census worker has been hung in deep red Kentucky. While it is unknown if it was murder or a suicide, I think we can all figure what happened.

Again I ask, at what point does someone using fiery rhetoric, grossly false claims, and race baiting become responsible for the violence it incites?

Via Huffington Post

WASHINGTON — The FBI is investigating the hanging death of a U.S. Census worker near a Kentucky cemetery, and a law enforcement official told The Associated Press the word ‘fed” was scrawled on the dead man’s chest.

The body of Bill Sparkman, a 51-year-old part-time Census field worker and occasional teacher, was found Sept. 12 in a remote patch of the Daniel Boone National Forest in rural southeast Kentucky. The Census has suspended door-to-door interviews in rural Clay County, where the body was found, pending the outcome of the investigation.

GOP Senator Falls Asleep During Health Care Negotiations

Shows Contempt for Efforts to Craft a Bi-partisan Bill

Via The Washington Post

After regurgitating the cliché talking points that dominated the first half of the health care debate, Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ky.) promptly fell asleep. His disinterest in reform is indicative of the republican opposition, which is only fighting to preserve the status quo.

Also, what would happen if you fell asleep on the job? I would get fired. This idiot clearly has forgotten what it is like to be in mainstream America. He displayed a complete lack of respect for the office he holds.

The Senate Finance Committee was barely an hour into its consideration of health-care reform on Tuesday morning, but Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ky.) already knew where he stood.

“I do not support a government takeover of the health-care system,” he railed. The proposal “confiscates more money from the taxpayers,” he went on. “It tramples on American freedom and liberties.”

After this vigorous display of open-mindedness, Bunning was spent. About an hour later, spectators noticed that the senator, who had been resting his chin in his hand, had fallen fast asleep. As giggles rippled through the chamber, an aide shook Bunning, who woke with a start.

Bunning’s nap was a fitting comment on how he and his Republican colleagues had received the efforts of the committee’s chairman, Max Baucus (D-Mont.), to craft a bipartisan compromise on the mammoth legislation. Baucus made major concessions to Republicans: He dropped the “public option” for a government-run health plan; he tossed aside the mandate that employers provide health coverage; he cut the bill’s cost and made sure it was all funded by revenue from within the health-care system; he stipulated that government funds would not go for abortion or to illegal immigrants; and he included efforts to curtail medical malpractice awards.

And what does Baucus have to show for his concessions? One by one Tuesday, Republicans delivered the same thanks-but-no-thanks message.

Obama Calls for "Cash for Corpses"

In editorial, lol, politics, stupid people on August 14, 2009 at 8:51 pm

Program Will Encourage Euthanizing Grandparents

Lansing, Michigan – Speaking at a health care town hall meeting, President Obama revealed what the White House is saying will be a keystone program in the global economic recovery. “Cash for Corpses” as it is called, will pay private citizens up to $5,000 if they can prove they caused the death of a retiree.

“Whether you take them off life support, deny them their medication, or just a good old-fashioned push down the stairs, this is a chance for every American to be part of the solution,” the President said. “Non-contributing Americans (retirees) cost the federal government the more per capita than any other group. Without them, we stand to save trillions.” The program will be administered by special panels set up by the Department of the Economic Agenda Theory and its Human Impact (D.E.A.T.H.). The $5000 comes in the form of a tax credit intended to help what Mr. Obama called, “contributing Americans” buy their own private health insurance.

President Obama also touted the environmental benefits of Cash for Corpses, “Imagine our nation’s roads and highways senior free. There would be no one going dangerously slow, driving in two lanes, making left turns from the right lane, or changing their colostomy bags in traffic. Congestion will drop, meaning less greenhouse gasses.” It is estimated that non-contributors are responsible for up to 97% of all traffic jams, a large source of CO2 emissions.” The President speculated, “The whole sale murder of seniors today, might just save our planet tomorrow.”

Supporters point out other major benefits. “I’ve long been a proponent of harvesting still functioning tissue and organs of the elderly for our own personal use” says Dr. Frank Rosenbom, Chief Research Director at Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital. “If Grandpa has heart problems, but has a perfectly good liver, why let it go to waste on him for another ten years? Under the Cash for Corpses program, we’d be able to harvest that liver and give it to a 30-something recovering alcoholic. And let’s not forget the $5,000 that will be put back into the economy from this. That kind of scratch could be put towards a home, debt, or maybe a really authentic looking birth certificate forgery. I can’t think of any scenario that is more of a win-win than this.”

Critics of the President’s plan say that Cash for Corpses will hurt small business. “What the American people want to know is what the President’s proposal will do to Denny’s, or the used Cadillac market? I don’t even want to think about the millions of American families that are dependent on the adult diaper industry,” said House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH).

When asked how what the government planned to do with all the money it would save the President responded “Reparations, what else? Oh, and I’ve purchased Kenya”
